FCCLA First Responders Breakfast
Sept. 12, 2022
North Toole County High School
8am

Sunburst Schools is fortunate to have dedicated and wonderful folks as our daily bus drivers. Lynn Kimmet drives the Oilmont bus, MIke Tobin drives the Kevin bus, Adele Benjamin drives the 9 Mile bus, and Tasha Blair was filling in driving the Sweetgrass bus. The folks do an awesome job of transporting our students to and from school daily!

5th Grade read a debate in Scholastic News about the pros and cons of a four day school week. They then went online to cast a vote for their own personal opinion, compare thoughts with students nationwide, and discuss their views with peers. Most 5th graders like the five day school week!

Monday, Sept. 12, Breakfast Change
Because of supply issues, breakfast on Monday will now be pancakes on a stick.

Students learned about solid and liquid states of matter and the different melting points of materials. Then they investigated to determine which types of candy melt in hot water.

Third grade students analyzed and interpreted maps of Montana to learn about patterns in population among our different counties!

JHVB Update!
The JHVB game scheduled in Vaughn for Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, has been rescheduled for Monday, September 19th at 4:30pm and 5:30pm.

Breakfast Change for Sept. 8
Due to supply chain issues, breakfast tomorrow will be calzones.

4th graders learned how to detect acids using baking soda which fizzes when mixed with acids, or a special liquid that changes color when mixed with acids. Students then used those methods to identify common foods like pickle juice or ketchup that are acidic!

Can you really fry an egg on a hot sidewalk? Third grade investigated this question by testing the insulating and conducting properties of different materials.
