JH Power Track Meet Cancelled
The JH track meet scheduled for tomorrow, April 29, in Power has been cancelled. JH tracksters will still be going to Fort Benton today. Track athletes will have practice tomorrow after school as per their normal schedule from 2:30-4:15pm.

Track Practice April 18 & 19
HS and JH have track practices scheduled for 3:30pm on April 18 & 19.
HS Track Meet Canceled
The HS track meet in Cut Bank scheduled for tomorrow, April 19, has been canceled due to wind and cold weather.
HS & JH Jitters Concert
Apr. 20 @ 2pm at the NTC Auditorium
The HS & JH band and choir students will be sharing their talents as they prepare for upcoming music festivals by having the annual Jitters Concert. The program will begin on April 20 at 2pm in the NTC Auditorium.
In this lesson, 4th grade students constructed an explanation of how energy is stored, released, and transferred in a chain reaction, such as falling dominoes. In the activity, students were presented with an engineering design challenge to create their own chain reaction machine.
3rd and 4th grade students visited the residents at Logan Assisted Living in Shelby this morning! We hand delivered Easter cards and well wishes for a wonderful Easter. The residents even spent time before our arrival hiding eggs for the kiddos so they could watch them partake in an Easter Egg Hunt. The joy on both the kids and residents faces was priceless!
Easter Egg Hunt Moved Indoors!
We will still be having our Easter Egg Hunt today at 3pm, but it will be moved inside. Preschool age 0-5 students will be in the elementary gym; kindergarten will be in the lunchroom; 1st grade will be in the music room; 2nd grade will be in the art/science room; 3rd grade will be in the library.
In this lesson, third grade students explored the different properties of materials used for clothing, such as texture, flexibility, and absorbency. In the activity, students used this information to design and build a hat that protected them from the Sun. Something we're definitely lacking this spring! haha
Preschool Screening/Kindergarten Registration
Preschool screening and kindergarten registration will be occurring at Sunburst Elementary School on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 8:30-11:30am. Please contact Miss Lori at the office at 406-937-2816 to schedule an appointment.
Parents are encouraged to bring in all children age 0-5 to be screened in teh areas of vision, hearing, speech, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and cognitive abilities.
April 25th is also kindergarten registration. If your cihld will be turnign 5 on or before September 10, 2022, your child can enroll in Sunburst Schools. To be fully enrolled, parents need to bring a birth certificate and immunization records. If your child is already attending Mrs. Nau's preschool on Wednesdays, you are already registered for kindergarten and have already turned in the necessary documentation.
