NTCHS and the Booster Club would like to thank our community for the incredible support that made this year's Lock-In a success! Thirty-four students in grades 9-12 enjoyed bowling, bingo, relay races, karaoke, and more from 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 16th, until 4 a.m. on Sunday, May 17th. A special thank you to our outstanding chaperones (Shane & Teresa Berthelote, Lyle and Adele Benjamin, Cyndi Young, Amanda & Jeff Nix) and to our generous donors: NorthernTel, The Sunburst Mercantile, Sunburst Grain, Adam Kerfoot of State Farm, KW Insurance, Toole County Health Department, Logan Health, and Barb Wired. District 10C Track Meet
The Refiner track team travels to Memorial Stadium in Great Falls for the District 10C track meet! Good luck to our runners, jumpers, and throwers at the meet today.

5th grade traveled to Great Falls to attend Starbase on the National Guard base. They had a great time coding Spike robots, learning about fingerprints and then graphing fingerprint data. The icing on the cake was getting to tour the inside of a C-130 aircraft and talk with crew members. We are so lucky our students get to take part in this program!

The 8th grade promotional ceremony will be held in conjunction with the high school graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at 1pm in the North Toole County High School Gym. Please come and support these 8th grade students as they receive their promotional certificates!

Staff Appreciation Assembly
A special assembly was held this afternoon to honor and recognize the staff at Sunburst Schools. Sunburst Schools values our staff and recognize their efforts, dedication, and and pride in our students and our school!
Mr. Bucklin first introduced all staff members and noted that there were an incredible 489 total years of service to Sunburst Schools from our entire staff!
The district recognizes staff in 5 year increments with special service pins. The following pins were awarded :
5 Year Pins: Whitney Aschim, Missy Chilton, Hali Richmond, Brandy Raulston
10 Year Pins: Chelsea Taylor
20 Year Pins: Natalie Kerfoot
35 Year Pins: Shannon Dunk

Student of the Month
The Sunburst Schools April 2026 Students of the Month were recognized at the May Sunburst School Board Meeting. The high school student of the month was Senior Kaiden Benson. The junior high student of the month was 8th grader Jeana Hough-Sepulveda. Mr. Dunk shared the staffs' reasoning for nominating these students and why the staff felt they were worthy candidates to be recognized. The board commended Kaiden and Jeana for their great efforts. Both students were present and had their picture taken with the board. The students will receive a certificate for being named Student of the Month.

Kindergarten Train Trip
The kindergarten class had a fantastic time on their train trip today!
Sixth grade has been busy studying about the Industrial Revolution! Today they did a simulation of an assembly line. They worked in a dark place with machine noise in the background to simulate working conditions in that time.
