The class of 2039 had their first ever first day of school today! They are a small but mighty group! We are excited to welcome them to Sunburst Schools!

Third Graders are learning about types of forces in science, and started with those in the magnetic field. They discovered how magnets interact with different objects, tested magnetic forces, and even experimented with making magnets “float” along pencils! There were lots of predictions, observations, and plenty of fun learning moments along the way!
Volleyball Gameday!
The Lady Refiner and Wildcat volleyball teams travel to Gilford today, Thursday, September 10, 2026, to take on North Star. The Wildcats play at 5pm and the Refiners play at approximately 6pm (20 minutes after JH).

Picture day for all students in Kindergarten through 12th grade will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Lindsay Sandon Photo + Design will be taking all of our photos! Picture order forms went home with elementary students and should be coming home with JH/HS students today.

Our first unit of study in 5th grade science is the solar system. This week we studied the sun and shadows. You can't really study shadows outside without a game of shadow tag!

4th Grade Artists!
Paper Bag Autobiographies!
What better way to get to know your new students than by learning about the things that make them, well, them!
During our first week of school, each third grader brought in five special items to create their very own Paper Bag Autobiography. Their bags included favorite toys, pictures, keepsakes, and other things that are important to them. Each kiddo had the chance to share their items with the class and tell us a little bit about why each one was special.
It was so much fun getting to peek into their worlds and hear the stories behind their treasures! We learned about favorite hobbies, family, friends, memories, and all the little things that make each of our classmates unique.
We’re already off to a wonderful start getting to know one another and building our classroom community!
