JH Basketball Begins & JH Picture Day!
The JH basketball season begins tomorrow, Monday, October 12, 2026. All 4th-8th grade boys and girls are encouraged to participate!
The first practices will be on Monday with the Girls at the HS gym from 3:45p -5:15p and the boys at the Elem Gym from 3:45p -530p. Parent meetings will be held immediately after practice at the respected practice location
JH basketball coaches this year will be Head Boys Coach Michael Miller who will be assisted by Tony Fleisher. The girls program will be led by Jessica Solberg and assisted by Alex Aschim.
Picture day for JH basketball will be on Tuesday, October 13. Lindsay Sandon Photo + Design will be taking all team photos. The form attached will be coming home with athletes.

MHSA Visit
While in Helena for a XC meet, the Refiner XC team visited the Montana High School Association (MHSA) home office to drop off historical memorabilia and get a tour of the new building.
Sunburst Schools provided a Refiner chair to add to their conference room as well as presented MHSA Senior Associate Kip Ryan with a commemorative football to add to their archives from the historic first international cooperative program between North Toole County High School in Sunburst, Montana, USA, and Milk River Ridge School in Milk River, Alberta, Canada.

9th and 10th grade trip to TekNoXPo at MSU-Northern.
Sixth grade celebrated the end of the book, Hoot with pancakes! Not just any pancakes, but ones with exciting and different flavors! Then the students graphed the results of the likes and dislikes.

The junior high basketball seasons begins next Monday, October 12, 2026. The season schedule is attached. Boys practice will be at the grade school at 3:45pm and the girls will be at the high school at 3:45pm. There will be a parent meeting to follow the first practices.
