Our 4th graders are officially "churning" through Montana history!
We’ve traveled into the 20th Century to experience the highs and lows of the Homestead Act era. To get a real taste of life on the plains, we rolled up our sleeves today for some old-fashioned butter making.
Why the workout? Because tomorrow, the hard work continues! We’ll be grinding our own wheat and baking fresh bread from scratch.
It’s safe to say these young pioneers are finding out that history—and homemade butter—is pretty sweet!

Then and Now. 4th grade took a walking tour of our own school to see how things have changed throughout history.
