Buddy Time!
Sunburst Schools K-12 students had a fantastic afternoon with their big buddies and little buddies. Thanks to Mrs. Richmond and Miss Tomsheck for planning all of the fun activities. Yesterday, 4th grade had the pleasure of performing "What Could Go Wrong the Night Before Christmas?" to our school and parents. We'll try getting the video posted for everyone to enjoy the kids' hard work and Christmas spirit!
Christmas Break
Students last day before the Christmas break will be Friday, December 19th. Students will have a regular Friday with a 2:30pm dismissal. Students will have no school from December 20th, 2025 through January 4th, 2026. School will resume on Monday, January 5th, 2026!

Candy Cane Sale
The 6th grade class will be having their annual candy cane sale on December 17 and December 18 at lunch. Candy canes will be $.50 each. Students will be limited to purchasing 4 at a time.
All proceeds earned will be donated to the Quailwings Animal Rescue in Cut Bank.

Thank you to Shelby Care Center for allowing the students to sing their songs to your residents. This was such a rewarding experience for all the students who sang. We can't wait to do it again!

Please join the band and choir for their annual Christmas concert on Tuesday, December 16th, at 7 p.m. With an added play and some homemade cookies, this night is sure to be merry and bright.
The 5th grade class had the opportunity to do a zoom art lesson with artist Stella Nall through the Missoula Art Museum . They got to see some of her amazing work that is on display in the exhibit and learn about how Montana and her Crow heritage inspires her work. Stella then taught an engaging drawing lesson. It was a fun hour of learning on our Thursday morning!

The Refiner basketball teams play in the Hi-Line Tip Off Tournament today, December 13, in Chester. Admission will be $10 for adults and $7 for students. which is good for both locations on that same day.

Important Refiner Girls Basketball Update!
Due to the weather the girls opponent on Friday has cancelled (GF Home School). The Hi Line Tournament has rescheduled the Refiner girls to now open the tournament tomorrow, December 11.
The Lady Refiners will play in Chester at 3pm vs. Heart Butte. This rescheduling still allows the Lady Refiner team to be able to play two games. The girls will leave after lunch (approximately 12:45pm).
As a result, the girls will NOT play on Friday and will attend school. All other games are still following the original schedule.

Sunburst was well represented with the entries for the Gingerbread Contest at the Marias Museum Open House! The 5th Grade class took 1st Place Cookie Award, 2nd Place Team Effort Award, AND People's Choice Award! All of the 4th graders placed with their train cars and won the 3rd Place Team Award! Congrats to all of the contestants! It was a fun time had by all!
