Lunch Ladies Appreciation Week
This week, February 6-10, we are celebrating our wonderful lunch ladies. Miss Lorrie, Miss Brandi, and Miss Leisha do a great job of making delicious and nutritious meals. "Thank you bunches for our lunches" is our theme.

This is a friendly reminder 🎉 that on Saturday, Feb 11th from 6-8pm there will be a youth dance at the Sunburst Community Center for youth in 5th-8th grade. It will be the place to be for kids on 5th to 8th grade . It’ll have fun games, yummy snacks, and a live DJ (it’s Mark Daniels).

Seniors Connor Sullivan, Conlan Kerfoot, Tara Robins. and John Buckley celebrated senior night. They expressed their appreciation to their teammates, coaches, parents, and community members. Go Refiners!
County Spelling Bee
The top 17 spellers from Sunburst from our local spelling bee will be receiving a note today (pictured below) containing information about participation in the Toole County Spelling Bee on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 6pm in the Shelby High School Auditorium.
We’re getting excited. 🎉 On Monday and Tuesday, February 6th and 7th, Mark Matthews of Humanities Montana will be at Sunburst Schools teaching all of the students community dances and the history behind the routines. It will be a fun and energetic couple of days.
Youth Basketball!

Preschool!
Sunburst Elementary was excited to have 3 preschool students join the kindergarten class today! These 3 students will be joining the kindergarten class on Wednesdays from 9-11am for the remainder of the school year.
4th-6th Spring Basketball
Girls and boys in 4th-6th grade have the opportunity to participate in a spring basketball season beginning February 13, 2023. The information below (letter and calendar) was sent home with students today. Please contact Shayle Ehlers at 406-937-2811 if you have any questions.

Youth Basketball
Youth basketball continues tomorrow, January 28, 2023. Practice will be at 9am for interested students in Kindergarten-4th grade. Games will be that afternoon during Refiner games at the high school.

Sunburst Schools will not be having school on Monday, January 30, 2023. Our staff has a PIR day scheduled.

No Valier Boys JV
There will be no Valier JV boys basketball game tomorrow. Thus, the first game in Valier will begin at 6pm with varsity girls.
Sunburst Spelling Bee Results
We had 32 students from 5th-8th grade participate in our local spelling bee with the top 15 and 2 alternates representing Sunburst Schools at the Toole County Spelling Bee in Shelby on February 6, 2023, at 6pm.
