Third grade are studying physics and chemistry in a new unit, Motion
and Matter. We will be studying forces and what happens
when they are balanced and unbalanced. This week's investigation explored the questions, "What happens when magnets interact with other magnets and with paper clips?"
Third grade students used interactive google slides this week to practice identifying the continents on a map as well as learn fun new information about each continent!
The NTC cross country team had some great results and personal bests at the Kalispell Invite today.
1st graders had fun learning and practicing the scientific method today!
5th and 6th grades have art on Friday each week. Today the 5th grade explored their new paint sets by making swatches and mixed medium art pieces. The 6th grade took their paints outdoors to create some wonderful work!

7th and 8th graders got to take a trip to Great Falls to tour the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art. After the tour, they got the chance to recreate one of the artists' work, Sean Chandler, in their own way. Obviously, they got really into it, as their dirty hands can show!

2nd graders had to solve 5 clues to save the future from aliens! They succeeded in their mission and solved all 5 clues!
The K-6 graders were in for a musical treat when the talented accordionist, Andy Mirkovich, came to visit! Some students got to try their hand at being an accordionist. Others sang along to some familiar tunes such as "It's a Small World", "You're a Grand Old Flag", and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"!
Andy is a longtime family friend of Mrs. Sally Aschim and Miss Whitney Aschim, who fell in love with his musical talents over 20 years ago while attending accordion festivals with family. Some of his credentials include playing with or for the likes of Liberace, Burl Ives, The Vienna Boys, and the King and Queen of Norway, just to name a few. He performed as the featured performer at the Space Needle for 11 years, and he continues to perform and teach Master Classes at festivals.
It was a GREAT first week in 3rd and 4th grade! ❤️
