Sunburst XC Meet Postponed
The planned cross country Toole County Challenge scheduled for Friday, September 15, 2023, has been postponed.
In yesterday's science investigation, 4th grade students set up a test circuit to find out which objects will complete a motor circuit. They then sorted the test objects into two categories, conductors and insulators!

The Sunburst High School JV Volleyball team will be playing the Cut Bank C squad tomorrow, September 11, at 5:30pm in Sunburst.
The JH volleyball team will still practice as usual at the high school from 3:45-5:00pm.

FCCLA Fun Run - FCCLA is hosting a 5k walk/run on Saturday, September 16th, the morning of homecoming. Before enjoying the parade and Booster club breakfast please join us for a fun run! Fine motor practice in Kindergarten!
Third grade students are starting their novel "The Orphan of Ellis Island" to learn about immigration. To introduce the novel, students had to investigate artifacts in a trunk to guess the significance of each item in the story. As we read, the true meaning behind each item will be revealed!
The Refiners faced off against the Heart Butte Warriors and the Valier Panthers tonight! The Refiners were on fire with a 3-0 sweep against both teams! 🏐

Fourth grade is beginning a new science unit, Energy. We will investigate energy,
build electric circuits powered by D-cells (flashlight batteries), and explore electromagnetism, light, collisions, and waves. All our experiences will build an understanding that energy is evident when there is motion, electric current, sound, light, or heat, and that energy can travel from place to place. This week's investigation focused on answering the focus questions, "What is needed to light a bulb?"
