Pink Night
The Lady Refiner Volleyball team will host Cascade this Friday, October 10, 2025, for a conference matchup with a JV game starting at 5:00pm followed by a Varsity game.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sunburst Schools will he having a Pink Night! We encourage everyone to wear pink to support and honor breast cancer survivors, fighters, and remember those that have been lost.

Refiner VB Update!
There will be NO MATCH on Saturday, October 11, 2025, against Heart Butte. It is cancelled and will be considered a forfeit.

4th graders started this lesson by studying a Winter Count made by Medicine Bear, a chief of the Yanktonai Dakota (Sioux). Winter Counts helped bands keep track of their history. Each symbol represents a particular year.
Traditionally, women and girls would scrape and tan a hide, and the record keeper, usually a man, would draw the symbols. Hides were large, so they could hold a lot of information. But they were also strong and easy to roll up for traveling.
Later, winter counts were drawn on fabric or painting.
These 4th graders studied a timeline of the history of the Northern Cheyenne and then drew their own interpretation of some of the events. Here's what they came up with!!

The Refiner and Wildcat teams will host CJI today, October 4, with the JH kickoff at 3pm followed by the Refiner football game at 6pm. This will be the final game for the JH Wildcat team!

Custodial Appreciation
Sunburst Schools wants to recognize our dedicated and amazing custodial crew. Lynn Kimmet, Dan Hout, Jonette Johannsen, and Crystal Hout are incredible assets to our school. They clean, maintain, and do so much behind the scenes to show pride in our school. Thank you to our awesome custodial crew for all you do!

The Refiner Cross County team travels to Great Falls Anaconda Hills for a race today. The girls run at 3pm followed by the boys at 3:40pm.

compare them to a map of today’s reservations.
They also experienced a tool from the past... transparencies! Retired teachers, raise your hand if you used transparencies in your classroom!
