Buckle Up for Lauryn
Sunburst Schools wants to thank the Toole County Health Department for bringing Pat and Wendy Goldhahn to NTCHS to speak to our 7th-12th grade students. Pat and Wendy share with students about the importance of buckling up, making good choices, and never forgetting to say "I Love You." They also give students a special blue ribbon to place in their vehicle as a reminder to buckle up!

The fall season concludes this week for High School XC and HS football. HS Volleyball District Tournament will be held next week in Cascade. JH basketball kicks off this weekend.

Red Ribbon Week 2024
Red Ribbon Week will be October 21-25, 2024. To celebrate the occasion, elementary students and staff will be dressing up to celebrate.
The National Theme For 2024 Red Ribbon Week is: “Life is a movie, film drug free.”
Our Week @ the Elementary will consist of the following dress up days:
Monday, October 21st- “Black out Drugs”- Wear Black Dress Attire.
Tuesday, October 22nd- “Hats off to Red Ribbon Week”- Wear an appropriate Hat of your choice.
Wednesday, October 23rd- “Team Up Against Drugs”- Wear your favorite sports attire or team attire.
Thursday, October 24th- “Crazy About Being Drug Free”- Dress Crazy or with mismatched dress attire.
Friday, October 25th- “Sweat Out Drugs & Red out Drugs”- Dress in your favorite sweat pants and wear as much red dress attire as possible for Refiner/Wildcat Friday and in support of Red Ribbon Week.
Food Drive! Come visit the FCCLA Trunk during the Trunk or Treat event this Saturday at 10am. FCCLA members are collecting food for the food bank, reading stories to kids and handing out candy. See you there!
The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin-the tale of a tail. Lesson to be learned-always be a hard working, respectful squirrel.
Food Drive! Please consider bringing non-perishable food to donate to FCCLA's Food Drive this Saturday at the Trunk or Treat event.
Flu Shots
The Toole County Health Department is offering a flu shot clinic at Sunburst Schools on October 22. Forms have been sent home with students. If you have questions, please contact the Health Department at 406-424-5169.
October 17 Football
The Refiners will play on Thursday night at 6pm in Winifred. Sunburst home activity passes will NOT be accepted for entry. Ticket prices are: Adult/Seniors $8 | Student $6
A big thank you to the staff and community members who helped our seniors practice their interview skills today! Students participated in three rounds of interviews, honing their communication skills and developing career readiness.

Congrats to Sunburst FCCLA! In the Quarter 1 Service Hall of Fame the Sunburst chapter placed 2nd for completing and reporting 187 hours of community service between June and September! Thanks for doing so much to make our community a great place to live!
Today Sunburst Schools hosted the Second Annual Toole County Challenge. The Sunburst team won with a score of 10 points against Shelby Schools's 12 points. Congratulations to all the runners for a good run

Junior High Basketball
Junior High Basketball for all boys and girls in 5th-8th grade will be starting next Monday, October 14, 2024. Practice will be held right after school for both boys and girls teams. Both squads will have a parent meeting following the Monday practice.
If your child has not participated in a sport this fall, they will need to have a physical and the concussion form returned to the school to participate in practice.
