Ski Trip Postponed
The 5th/6th ski trip scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025, has been moved to Thursday March 6, 2025. Please contact the elementary school at 406-937-2816 if you have any questions.
Last week the honor society hosted a Day of Giving with the objective of involving every student in grades 7-12 in a meaningful service project. Throughout the day, various groups played games with the residents of Logan Health Assisted Living, sewed cloth diapers for Lutheran World Relief, created Fleece tie Blankets to be donated to local children, baked and delivered cookies to businesses and community members, and shoveled snow for various homes and businesses. The Day of Giving was a great way to wrap up our first semester by celebrating our school and community!

We will reschedule the game for Tuesday, February 11 (4p BJV, 530p GV, 7p BV).
The speech and debate competition held at Ft. Benton on Saturday showcased some incredible talent and hard work from our team!
• Nico shone in the Impromptu Speaking category, securing a third-place finish. His strong performance also contributed to the school earning an overall third-place ranking in the event!
• In Dramatic Oral Interpretation, Victoria and Athena delivered outstanding performances, placing fourth and fifth, respectively.
• Dakota impressed the judges in Spontaneous Oral Interpretation, receiving exceptional feedback, particularly for her heartfelt reading of an excerpt by A.A. Milne.

The 5th and 6th grade class finished up their novel study for "The Wild Robot." They concluded with a project that involved writing code, both to move a Sphero robot around the island they created from the story and to tell a summary of the novel as it navigated that island. It was a major project with much design and redesign along the way. The students did a great job! Best of all, they had fun along the way!
Robotics qualifier meet in Helena today. Our team was small but mighty! We finished 9th out of 23 teams, were selected for an alliance in the finals, made it to semifinals, and won the coveted Inovate Award! Go Sunburst B1gBrains!
Raffle at the home basketball game this Saturday! You could win a basket that includes Sunburst sports gear and a $100 gift card to the Sunburst Merc! Tickets will be sold at the game. The raffle will be drawn during halftime of the boys game. Leadership students are earning money to replace JH football helmets!
