
2nd period Strength and Conditioning completed the "Popeye" workout this week.


During our last Kiddie Kollege class of the semester the students had a surprise visit from Santa! We had a wonderful semester working with these creative, young minds.











Congratulations to the Foods students on their gingerbread creations! Riccardo, Tanner and Cosima entered a creative gingerbread garage. Nikki, Wyatt, Vince, Ella, Gabe, Jayden and Katie entered cookies. All students earned an award! Katie's white Christmas tree stole the show!


We celebrated Claire's decision to sign with Carroll College this week. She earned a track and field scholarship and she plans to study pre-med. Congrats Claire!

Elementary Christmas Concert
The Sunburst Elementary Christmas Concert will be held tomorrow, Thursday, December 14, 2023. The concert order will be as follows:
Kindergarten-2nd Grade: 2:00-2:20 pm
3rd-4th Grade: 2:30-2:50 pm
5th-6th Grade: 3:00-3:30 pm
The program will also be streamed via the Sunburst Schools Facebook page.


On Tuesday, December 12th, members of the Honor Society helped local preschoolers prepare Christmas crafts for their families.

Congratulations to Ella Samsal, Austin Harms, and Ali Nau on their induction into the honor society! Students were honored at this month's board meeting on Tuesday, December 12th.

National Honor Society
The National Honor Society is excited to welcome new members Austin Harms (senior), Alison Nau (sophomore), and Elizabeth Samsal (sophomore) as official NHS members. These talented students were recognized and official became members at the NHS Induction Ceremony at the December 12, 2023, Sunburst School Board Meeting.
To be part of the National Honor Society, students must be nominated by teaching staff, be a good scholar in the classroom, exhibit leadership, and display character. NHS members are expected to contribute to their school and community by working on service projects that have a positive impact on others.

November Students of the Month
The November students of the month were recognized at the Sunburst School Board meeting tonight, 12/12/23.
Vivian Taylor, 3rd grader, was the only one present at the meeting.. Mr. Dunk read the positive comments that were written about Vivi and commended her on being a great student. Trevon McKinley, senior, was recognized as the NTCHS student of the month. Maci Mokate, 7th grade, was selected as the Sunburst Junior High student of the month.
The school board commended the Vivian and the other students for their efforts.

The kiddie kollege students had a blast on their obstacle course this week!








Candy cane sales were a great success for the 5th and 6th grade. We raised $383 to donate to the Prairie Oasis Animal Shelter. Thanks to all who bought candy canes!




The third grade U.S. MONUMENT MUSEUM was a huge success!
