State Track Results Day 2:
Saturday was another eventful day for our track and field athletes. Ella started the morning off with Javelin. She finished 14th place at her first state track meet. Audrey Myzie competed in the unified events. Audrey placed in all of her events - 100m, long jump and shot put. She and Wyatt Rogers competed in the unified 4x100m relay with Centerville athletes and they took first! Claire Bucklin came into the 100m hurdles ranked 6th and the 300 hurdles ranked 5th. She hunted down the other racers to finish 3rd in both hurdle races! Claire also competed in the 100m and 200m finals on Saturday. She finished 8th in the 100m and 7th in the 200m for a fantastic final State meet! Nikki Nau also wrapped up her high school track career Saturday afternoon with her 1600m race. Nikki battled it out with the fast milers and earned herself a podium finish with 4th place! Our last event on the track came down to our young 4x400 team. Ian Benjamin, Wyatt Rogers, Colter Sandon and Tanner Heaton ran their hearts out for their final fast lap of the season. We could not be more proud of their gutsy effort! Congrats Refiners on your awesome state efforts! And congrats again to Audrey, Wyatt, Nikki and Claire on your podium finishes!

State Track Day 1 Results:
Excitement on the track and on the field today! Tanner Heaton ran a hard 800 placing 16th overall. Ali Nau worked hard for eight laps placing 23rd in the 3200m. Claire qualified for finals in the 100 hurdles, 100m and 200m. Nikki Nau competed hard in the 3200 and took home silver! Nice race Nikki! Claire improved on her best long jump breaking the school record again. It is now 17'2.75" and earned herself gold. Way to go champ!
Keep it up Refiners! More action tomorrow including Claire's finals, Ella's javelin, Nikki's 1600 and our boys 4x400 relay. Stay tuned!
