HS Fall Sports Awards
Thanks to everyone that came to recognize our fall sports athletes achievements. Athletes from cross country, volleyball, and football were commended for their great efforts.



HS Basketball Picture Day!
High school basketball picture day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Picture packets were sent home with athletes last week. Athletes must bring their uniform and all necessary gear for picture day.
Lindsay Sandon Photo+Design will be taking all of the basketball photos.

Well done Bobcats! Bobcats won the football game and Bobcat fans won the Food Drive! Thank you to everyone who donated to our local food bank! Have a happy Thanksgiving!

The Sunburst B1gBrains (Robotics team) had their first meet today in Butte. We learned a lot and have some exciting ideas and upgrades for Helena! These students did a great job!





2nd graders were challenged to build a te
epee using only the materials given. They did an awesome job!




Happy Thanksgiving
Sunburst Schools will not be having school Wednesday, November 27-Sunday, December 1st. We hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing break

4th Grade had a blast today at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center! This group of kids LOVES to learn and always ask the best questions!! We enjoyed a little ice skating before heading home! A great time was had by all!









Falls Sports Awards Night
Fall sports awards night will be held on Monday, November 25th, 2024, at 6:30pm in the NTCHS Auditorium. All students/families that participated in high school fall sports are invited. Water and snacks will be provided.

District 1 meeting today! We met with other local chapters from District 1 and 3/9. We learned about water safety, traffic safety, CPR, communication, the National Program called Families First and completed service projects. Nice job to Gabe and Ali for putting on a gratitude service project! Congrats to our new officers too! Gabe, Ali and Colter are new District 1 officers! Gabe is the VP, Ali is the secretary/ treasurer and Colter is the parliamentarian. Nice work today Sunburst!










Lady Wildcats Advance!
Congrats to the Lady Wildcats JH Basketball team as they beat Augusta and advance in tourney action. They will face Cascade on Friday at 3pm. Please see the updated bracket below.

Mrs. Pace graciously shared about her experience in the National Guard to our 1st and 2nd graders. Thank you for your service Mrs. Pace!


Watch out Grizzlies...Bobcats are making a comeback in the competitive food drive! This is the last week to donate food to our local food bank. Your donations will be a great help during the holiday season! Please consider donating and showing your Griz or Bobcat Pride. Students and local community members are encouraged to donate food!

Important JHBB Update!
A change has been made for the JH boys basketball tournament. The JH Wildcat Boys will now play their opening round tourney game (single elimination) on Tuesday, November 19, in Cascade at 5:30pm.. They will NOT play on the 18th vs. Simms!
The JH Wildcat girls will still play in Augusta on Monday, November 18th, at 5:30pm.

HS Basketball Parent Meeting
There will be a high school basketball parent & student meeting on Wednesday, November 20th, at 5:15pm in the HS gym for all 8th-12th student athletes planning to participate in the HSBB season.

Lunch Menu Change
Due to product shortages, we will again have to change our lunch on Monday, Nov. 18th. We will now be having Chicken Nuggets & Tater Tots.

Cracking the case of the hidden Schwa sound!



We know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but 4th grade has begun their Gingerbread Houses and Cookies for the annual Marias Museum Gingerbread Competition! And, man, are we having a blast! The theme this year is "Little Gingerbread House on the Prairie." Students are creatively decorating Western Meadowlarks, Cowboys, Boots, Barns and Homesteads!
The museum open house is on December 3rd from 4p.m. to 7p.m.at the Museum Annex in Shelby. Come join us for soup, cookies, live music performances, and gingerbread house awards!! All community members are welcome!








Though the weather outside isn't frightful, 3rd graders' hot cocoa is still delightful–especially with a good book!






JHBB TOURNEY WEEK UPDATE!
Next week, November 18-23, is tournament week for JH basketball. This is a single elimination tournament format. Please see the brackets below for further information.
The JH Boys will play at Simms at 5:30pm on Monday, November 18th.
The JH Girls will play at Augusta at 5:30pm on Monday, November 18th.
