1st Grade Valentine's Day Fun! Happy Valentine's Day!

Congrats Seniors Congrats and thanks to our seniors and their parents that were recognized at Senior Night. Thank you for all your contributions to NTCHS.

Senior Night Tonight, Friday, February 14, is senior night at 5:30pm before the boys varsity contest vs. Valier at 6pm. Seniors that will be honored for the winter season include: Wyatt Evans, Virgil Manthey, Nico Postma, and Dakota Stulc.

No School - Presidents Day In observance of Presidents Day on Monday, February 17, 2025, Sunburst Schools will not have school.

Today the Honor Society completed a project which began during January's Day of Giving, when Honor Society members shared the story of Sadako and the 1000 Paper Cranes, and invited all students in grades 7-12 to create origami cranes as a gift to their school and community. NHS members then created hanging mobiles from the cranes, one of which will hang in the high school entryway, and one of which will hang in the public library. Per Sadako's story, the cranes serve as a reminder of hope, peace, and unity.

District Basketball Passes District 10C Basketball All Session Passes are on sale for the February 20-22, 2025 Tournament at CMR High School in Great Falls. Passes can be purchased at any home game or from the High School office during business hours. Adult All Session Pass - $35 ($10 per Session) Student/Senior All Session Pass - $25 ($8 per Session)

Student of the Month The Sunburst Schools January 2025 Students of the Month were recognized at the February Sunburst School Board Meeting. The high school student of the month was Junior Ali Nau. The junior high student of the month was 8th grader Tripp McAlpine. The elementary student of the month was 6th grader Tucker McAlpine. Mr. Dunk and Mr. Nix shared the staffs' reasoning for nominating these students and why the staff felt they were worthy candidates to be recognized. The board commended Ali, Tripp, and Tucker for their great efforts. All students were present and had their picture taken with the board. The students will receive a certificate for being named Student of the Month.

Happy FCCLA week to Sunburst FCCLA chapter members! These awesome students are a positive part of our community!

SRO Appreciation Day Sunburst Schools wishes to recognize Officer Jeff Robins of the Toole County Sheriff's Department for his dedication and commitment as our Student Resource Officer. Officer Robins teaches our elementary students weekly lessons, helps to ensure our school safety, and provides a positive law enforcement presence at our school.

Heart Butte Game Postponed! The basketball games scheduled vs. Heart Bute for today, February 11, 2025, have been postponed! The games will be moved to Thursday, February 13, 2025 in Sunburst with the varsity girls playing at 4:00pm and the varsity boys playing at 5:30pm. There will be no JV games.

Breakfast Change Breakfast on Wednesday, February 12th, will be Breakfast Bars.

Congratulations to Victoria Sudbrock, winner of this year's Marias River Electric Youth Tour Essay Contest!! When asked to write about the most important event to have occurred in our nation during her lifetime, Victoria wrote about the invention and proliferation of the iPad and its effect on her generation. As winner of the contest, Victoria will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. this summer. Congratulations, Victoria!!

Toole County Spelling Bee Rescheduled Time! The Toole County Spelling Bee has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 13th, 2025 at the Shelby HS auditorium at 6 pm. Spellers that qualified from Sunburst should dress nice and show up by 5:45pm to draw their number for their seat in the event. The winner of this event will move on to the State Spelling Bee in Bozeman in March. Good luck to all of the Spellers!

No County Bee Tonight The Toole County Spelling Bee scheduled for this evening, February 10, 2025, at 6pm in Shelby has been postponed to a future date because of the water line issues near Shelby Schools.
