HS VB Postponed! The HS Lady Refiner Volleyball game scheduled for Thursday, September 5, 2024, has been postponed to Tuesday, October 22, 2024 @6pm in the NTC Gym.

JH VB Showcase in Simms The JH Wildcat Volleyball Team will travel to Simms for a middle school volleyball showcase on September 6 and September 7, 2024. Please see the bracket below for game times. The cost of admission to this event is: Adults = $8; Students = $6; Seniors = $1.

1st Graders finished up the first week of school by earning their Junior Ranger 1st Grade badges and celebrated with Campfire Friday complete with campfire stories, songs and s'mores!

5th grade are working through the engineering process by designing and building an Egg Protection system. We did not meet our success criteria, so we analyzed and are now redesigning.

Mrs. Richmond "served" up some books for the 4th grade class today! They "tasted" new book genres and authors to expand their reading interests!

Labor Day Sunburst Schools will not have school on Monday, September 2, 2024, in honor of the Labor Day holiday. We hope everyone has a wonderful 3 day weekend!

4th Grade did some Back to School Community Building through Indigenous Story Telling 📖 and getting our hands a bit dirty. 🌽🌱🎃 The Three Sisters story teaches us... Together, we are greater than we are alone. The corn takes care of making light available. The squash reduces weeds, and the beans are adaptable--finding and weaving their way around the corn to receive the support and light it needs. "Respect one another, support one another, bring your gift to the world and receive the gifts of others, and there will be enough for all." -Braiding Sweetgrass for Young Adults Shoutout and big thank you to Mr. Randy Richmond for helping us with our little classroom garden. ❤️

Following a discussion of the vital role of journalism in a democracy, this year’s Refiner staff perused the local news to brainstorm answers to the following questions: What is journalism? How does it differ from other types of writing? What are the rules of journalism?

Sunburst HS VB Showcase Please come and support our NTC Volleyball Ladies and other teams from our area as Sunburst hosts an all day VB tournament in both of our school gymnasiums on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Sunburst activity passes are not accepted at this tournament. The cost of admission will be: Adult Pass = $10, K-12 Student Pass = $5; Senior and pre-K are FREE

Fall Sports Pictures High school football and volleyball sports pictures will be taken today, August 29. Junior high football and volleyball pictures will be taken next Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Football Game Forfeited The NTCHS Refiner football game scheduled for this Friday, August 30, 2024, has been forfeited by the Heart Butte Warriors. The Refiner team will now open their season at home on Saturday, September 7th at 6pm vs Big Sandy.

Back to School Night is Tonight! Back to school night will be held on tonight, Monday, August 26, 2024, from 6-7pm in the elementary school and from 7-8pm in the JH/HS. All students and their families are invited to come to school, meet your teacher, get your school supplies unpacked,, and make sure you are prepared to come back to school! Sunburst Schools returns to class on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
