Prom 2025
The NTCHS Prom for 2025 will be held this Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the NTC Gym. Everyone is invited to to attend Grand March at 7:00pm. Grand March will also be streamed live via the Sunburst Schools Facebook page.

Today, we read Feathers Together by and welcomed guest readers Gabe, Lisa Hovland, and Marigail Anderson, who shared their love of stories with us.
Our Reading Road to Adventure is officially bustling—so much so that we hit a few traffic jams! 🚗🚦 But what a great problem to have—our students’ incredible reading efforts are fueling this journey, and we couldn’t be more excited to see their enthusiasm!
Adding to the fun, kids showed off their school spirit by wearing their colors with pride! 🎉💙💛
Keep reading, keep adventuring, and we’ll see where the road takes us next!

Today, we honored our students who made the Honor Roll and those who achieved Perfect Attendance for the second quarter! 🏆📚👏
Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance deserve to be recognized, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments. Keep striving for greatness—you inspire us all! ✨

Hats Off to Reading! 🎩📚
Day two of Read Across America: Adventure Awaits was a success! Today, we tipped our hats to the joy of reading with some fantastic guest readers. Ali and Mr. Dunk had the kids enthralled with their reading of A Smart, Smart School by Sharon Creech,
It gets even better. Cars with titles of stories students have read are cruising along the Reading Highway.
🚗📖
Hopefully, we'll run into a Reading Rush Hour 😉 toward the end of the week.

Adventure Awaits! 🚀📚
Today was the first day of our Read Across America: Adventure Awaits celebration, and we kicked things off in style—crazy socks and all! 🧦🎉
The best comment of the day? “This is how my mom is going to find out I’m wearing her socks for today.” 😂
We were also thrilled to have the first round of guest readers join us! Ella and Michael helped launch the week reading a retelling of The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
Stay tuned for more fun as we continue our reading journey! 📖✨

1st grade is gearing up for some "Seussy" fun celebrating the author Dr. Seuss this week!

We finished reading "Hoot" today, so for the 6th grade, that means it's the day to make unusual pancakes. In our novel, there is a company that makes some interesting flavored pancakes. Today, we added marshmallow fluff, plenty of candy, cookies, red and black pepper, chex mix, and much more. Some were more tasty than others, but we sure had fun!

After a month of research and designing, the 1st and 2nd graders are pretty proud of their Arctic Habitat. The 2nd graders researched and designed each section of the Arctic, complete with food chains. The 1st graders researched the adaptations of Arctic animals and together they decided where in the Arctic landscape each animal would be best suited.

The 5th grade finished the novel "Nory Ryan's Song" which follows the main character and her family as they try to survive the Irish potato famine. We concluded our study today by making potato candy. It was very sweet but also delicious!
