High School ... ready for State Science Fair!

In Leadership class this year, students have been working through the Lead4Change curriculum. Each team researched community issues and chose a service project that was meaningful to them. "Team Awesome" made up of Yael, Nick and Kacey chose to update track equipment. These students kept the book at JH basketball games and worked concessions during a HS game. From those efforts they raised enough money to reach their goal of purchasing two new sets of track blocks. Way to go! These students planned a 5k event as well. The event was going to be a fundraiser, but since they have already reached their financial goal they are now hosting a FREE 5k and BBQ dinner event for the whole community to enjoy! More details about this community event will be coming soon!
