Youth Basketball
Youth basketball continues tomorrow, January 28, 2023. Practice will be at 9am for interested students in Kindergarten-4th grade. Games will be that afternoon during Refiner games at the high school.

Sunburst Schools will not be having school on Monday, January 30, 2023. Our staff has a PIR day scheduled.

No Valier Boys JV
There will be no Valier JV boys basketball game tomorrow. Thus, the first game in Valier will begin at 6pm with varsity girls.
Sunburst Spelling Bee Results
We had 32 students from 5th-8th grade participate in our local spelling bee with the top 15 and 2 alternates representing Sunburst Schools at the Toole County Spelling Bee in Shelby on February 6, 2023, at 6pm. Speech & Drama
Congrats to Dale Rohlf and Trevon McKinley as they both advanced to the state speech and drama meet next week. Dale placed 1st in impromptu speech. Trevon placed 3rd in impromptu speech.
New Transportation Director
Sunburst Schools is excited to welcome Mr. Ulan Omdahl as the new transportation director at Sunburst Schools. Mr. Omdahl will officially begin his new position on Monday, January 23, 2023.

Youth Basketball
Youth basketball for students in grades Kindergarten-4th grade continues tomorrow, Jan. 21, with practice at 9:00am in the elementary gym. Games will be held tomorrow afternoon during Refiner basketball games vs. Cascade.
Bear Aware!
Special thanks to Miss Erin Fenger from the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks for coming to our school to share information and help our students be bear aware. Our Kindergarten through 6th grade classes had the opportunity to learn about identifying bears, food sources, and what to do in certain situations such as a bear attack, etc.
Thursday, Jan. 19 JV Game Cancelled!
The Dutton/Brady JV boys game scheduled for this Thursday, Jan. 19, at D/B has been cancelled.
Girls Varsity will still start @ 5:30pm with boys varsity to follow.
Departure for the school bus will now be 3:15pm.
Ice Fishing
Our 3rd-6th graders had a great time ice fishing today. Our students had this wonderful opportunity as part of the Hooked on Fishing Program sponsored by the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks.

3rd-6th graders that return a permission slip will be ice fishing tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023! Please remind your child to wear all of their warm gear and be prepared for an exciting day learning to ice fish for free with the Montana, Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Hooked on Fishing Program.
