3rd Grade just learned how and why flowers are pollinated. Students made flower models out of paper and bees out of pipe cleaners. They flew their bees from flower to flower and observed what happened to the flower's pollen during the process. So cool!

This afternoon we had a K-12 assembly to commemorate the 20 year anniversary of the tragic events from September 11, 2001. We detailed the tragedy, but highlighted the courage of our firefighters, police, EMT personnel, military, and so many others. We showed how when we are united, we can accomplish great things. We broke into buddy groups where each group contributed to a special mural (seen below). We saw the power of service and the importance of working together. We finished by all singing the Star Spangled Banner as a whole group to show our pride in our great country.
