Sunburst Schools wishes to thank Mrs. Sally Aschim for all of her time and efforts in putting together an awesome treasure hunt for our students. We had a fun afternoon with buddy groups doing a variety of fun activities before the Christmas break!
The students at Sunburst Schools were thrilled to receive a Sunburst Schools sweatshirt courtesy of Korey and Wendy Fauque from KW Insurance. Everyone was very excited and proud to wear their new sweatshirts! It is awesome to see the pride in Sunburst Schools!

Youth Basketball
Youth basketball will be returning to Sunburst Schools this year for students in kindergarten through 4th grade. The first practice for these students will be on Saturday, January 7, at 9am in the elementary gym. Our Big Refiners and coaches will be leading the program!
Please look for more information that will be sent home with your child in January!
Our Big Refiner athletes hope to have lots of kids come and have fun playing basketball!
No School Wednesday -- Weather/Cold
Due to the expected extreme cold temperatures, blowing and drifting snow, and wind chills that are expected to near -55 F, Sunburst Schools has made the decision to NOT have school on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Our last day of school before the Christmas break will be on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 with a 3:30pm dismissal.
School will resume on January 4, 2023.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and stay warm!

Kiddie Kollege Fun!
Everyone at Kiddie Kollege had a fun day today as Santa made a surprise visit and they made Christmas cookies!
Fire Safety
Thank you to the Sunburst Fire Department for teaching our Kindergarten-6th grade students about fire safety, showing them the equipment used when they respond to emergency situations, and handing out the awesome fire packets. We are so fortunate to have these dedicated volunteers serving our community.
Friday, December 16 Refiner Basketball Postponed!
Due to sickness in Dutton/Brady, the basketball games scheduled for Friday, December 16 in Sunburst will be moved to Tuesday, January 31, in Sunburst.
Christmas Programs
The JH/HS Christmas Program will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 7pm at the NTC Auditorium.
The Elementary Christmas Programs will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the Sunburst Elementary Gym. The Kindergarten-2nd grade program will be held at 1:15pm. The 3rd-4th program will be held at 1:45pm. The 5th-6th program will be held at 2:25pm.
All programs will be streamed and available live or on demand on our Sunburst Schools Facebook page.
Breakfast Change
On Thursday, Dec 15, breakfast will be French toast hot dish.
Congrats to the newest members of the NTCHS Honors Society, Katie Hout and Gabriella Cosme. An induction ceremony was held at the beginning of the Sunburst School Board meeting.

Hey, Refiner Fans, this Friday kicks off the first home game of the basketball season. With the holiday season in full swing, let's celebrate! Come to the game and party along with the pep band and students as we cheer on our Refiners. Wear your favorite party gear: bright colors, flashy shirt, holiday sweater, or just come in your Refiner best. There may even be party hats available:) Go Refiners!
