
Refiner Volleyball District Tournament
The Refiner Volleyball team will be competing in District 6C West volleyball action next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 26 - 28, in Belt. This is a double elimination tournament.
The Lady Refiners will enter tourney action as the #7 seed and will first play in Match #4 vs. Simms at approximately 3:30pm.
For admission, no regular season passes will be accepted. The cost will be: $10 – Adult; $8 – Senior/Student.


Bats aren't the only ones! 1st Grade explored deeper into the bat cave and discovered troglobites, creatures that never leave their cave habitat. Whether it was spelunking for vocabulary or troglobites, flipping bats for math or writing about their favorite troglobite creature, 1st grade thoroughly enjoyed their Bat Cave experience!








6th graders had fun trying to decipher each other's cuneiform writings.


Refiner Football Senior Night
The Refiner senior football players will be playing their final game at home on Wednesday evening, October 18, 2023, at 7:00pm.
Refiner seniors are: Trevon McKinley, Curtis Bouttier, Riccardo Monaca, and Carter Enneberg.

It's that time of year... FCCLA is selling wreaths again! I know we're in the midst of Halloween and fall fun, but FCCLA will be selling Christmas wreaths until November 3rd. Orders will be placed early so you can receive your beautiful holiday wreaths just after Thanksgiving. Please consider ordering an evergreen decoration from one of our awesome FCCLA members. 1st Graders did several activities finishing up their bat nonfiction unit in their very own bat cave!






Flu Shots
The Toole County Health Department will be visiting Sunburst Schools on Tuesday, October 17, from 9:00-11:30am to give flu shots. Forms were sent home with students last week. If you are interested in having your child get a flu shot, please send back the form with your child.

Picture Day!
Tuesday, October 17, 2023, is picture retake day and junior high basketball picture day. Lindsay Sandon Photo + Design will be handling all picture taking duties.
If you would like to have picture retakes, please send back your picture packet or contact Lindsay Sandon.
Junior high boys and girls basketball pictures will also be taken on Oct. 17. Please make sure students bring their uniform and basketball gear.


No School Oct. 18-20, 2023
Students will not have school Wednesday, October 18 through Friday, October 20, because of the Teacher MEA Convention. We hope everyone enjoys the five day weekend.


NTCHS Pop Concert
The NTCHS 7th-12th grade Pop concert will be held on Tuesday, October 17th, at 7:00 pm in the NTC Auditorium. The concert will highlight musical hits from movies.
The concert will also be streamed live on the Sunburst Schools Facebook Page.


No Kiddie Kollege on Wednesday, October 18th as there is no school. We will meet again on Wednesday, October 25th for our Halloween Party!
