With chilly weather brings indoor recess. Indoor recess calls for some creative play with "No Ends"...a fun building toy from the past!
I like to extend a big thank you to Sadie, Kylee, Sabrina, and Avani. As a part of the high school's day of giving, these amazing students helped me transform the elementary library loft into a mining town - reading center. The elementary kids will love reading in "historic Montana."
Day of Giving Phase 2: Service Projects: Fleece tie blankets for Marias Medical Center, musical performance at the Heritage Center, snowflakes for local businesses, cookies for elementary students, birdhouses for a bluebird trail, and helping with story hour at the library!
The former AP Chemistry students are testing locally made apple cider vinegar to determine if it is safe for use in pickling.
Day of Giving Phase 1: Clean-up Crew!!
Today all students in grades 7-12 are participating in a Day of Giving, organized by the Honor Society and FCCLA. Students began the day with a Kindness Workshop, where they completed the phrase “Kindness feels…” Here are some of their responses.

The JV girls basketball game vs. Dutton/Brady tomorrow has been cancelled. As a result, the game times in Sunburst will be: 5pm 1/2 BJV; 6pm GV; 7:30pm BV

We will play Friday night at the high school. Remember your PE shoes! Game times are:
K-2 will play right before the girls varsity warmups, approximately 5:20 pm
3-4 will play at halftime of the girls varsity games, approximately 6:20 pm
IMPORTANT: NO practice this Saturday, the 20th. Our high schoolers leave too early, so we won't have any coaches! NO practice this week!
The application for MedStart 2024 is now open!
MedStart is a 5-day summer program for high school students interested in pursuing healthcare careers.
Curriculum includes hands-on activities, job shadowing, classroom lectures, and college prep information sessions. Scholarships are available!

Sunburst Schools is aware that over the past several hours school officials across the state received threatening messages. These messages were not targeted at Sunburst Public Schools or any specific school district in the state of Montana. We have been in contact with law enforcement on this issue and have taken measures as a precaution, but we do not believe there is any immediate threat to our schools.
