Good luck to the Sunburst Robotics team as they head for State Competition in Bozeman! This morning, the team held a demonstration for junior high and high school students and staff, displaying their coding skills and the robot's capabilities. Good luck, B1g Brains! To end their science unit on Mixtures, 3rd grade tried making their own slime and ooblek!
Both need only two ingredients:
Elmers Glue + contact solution = slime
Corn starch + water = ooblek
During our recent Day of Giving on January 17th, students in grades 7-12 were invited to write a thank you card to an active duty service member. Today, honor society members Ali Nau & Ella Samsal packaged the notes and sent them to Support Our Troops, an organization which will send them on to deployed Sailors, Marines, & Airmen. Here are just a few of the many thank-you notes that were written by NTC students & staff, expressing our gratitude to those who serve.

Ski Trip Postponed
The 5th/6th ski trip scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025, has been moved to Thursday March 6, 2025. Please contact the elementary school at 406-937-2816 if you have any questions.
Last week the honor society hosted a Day of Giving with the objective of involving every student in grades 7-12 in a meaningful service project. Throughout the day, various groups played games with the residents of Logan Health Assisted Living, sewed cloth diapers for Lutheran World Relief, created Fleece tie Blankets to be donated to local children, baked and delivered cookies to businesses and community members, and shoveled snow for various homes and businesses. The Day of Giving was a great way to wrap up our first semester by celebrating our school and community!

We will reschedule the game for Tuesday, February 11 (4p BJV, 530p GV, 7p BV).
The speech and debate competition held at Ft. Benton on Saturday showcased some incredible talent and hard work from our team!
• Nico shone in the Impromptu Speaking category, securing a third-place finish. His strong performance also contributed to the school earning an overall third-place ranking in the event!
• In Dramatic Oral Interpretation, Victoria and Athena delivered outstanding performances, placing fourth and fifth, respectively.
• Dakota impressed the judges in Spontaneous Oral Interpretation, receiving exceptional feedback, particularly for her heartfelt reading of an excerpt by A.A. Milne.
Congratulations to all the participants for their dedication and achievements!
