Lunch Ladies Appreciation Week
All week long we are celebrating our awesome lunch ladies: Miss Lorrie, Miss Brandi, and Miss Leisha (at HS -- not pictured). These ladies care so much and take the time to make delicious and nutritious meals daily. Yesterday our kindergarteners helped clean up the lunch room to say thank you!
Toole County Spelling Bee Postponed!
The Toole County Spelling Bee scheduled for tonight, February 7, 2022, has been postponed because of the severe winds and the safety concerns of all Sunburst participants as well as the Shelby Schools activity bus to safely transport students to the bee. The Toole County Spelling Bee will be rescheduled for Tuesday, February 22, 2022, in Sunburst.

Toole County Spelling Bee
Sunburst will host the annual Toole County Spelling Bee on Monday, February 7, 2022, at the NTCHS Auditorium at 6pm. Participants should dress nicely and plan to arrive by 5:45pm.
Accelerated Reader Goals
Some of our 3rd/4th students earned a trip to the Early Bird Cafe recently for rmaking their 2nd quarter AR goal. Some students not only met their goal, but did double their goal!

10C District Basketball Passes are on sale starting tonight through February 22.
On Friday February 4, Sunburst will be traveling to play at Heart Butte. If you plan on attending, MASKS are required by those attending.

5th-8th Ski Day
5th-8th grade Showdown ski day will be tomorrow, February 7, 2022. The bus will leave Sunburst at 5:20am, 4 Corners at 5:30am, and Shelby at 5:50am. Students are advised to bring layers of clothing to stay warm. Students should plan to pack snacks, a lunch (or lunch money), and a sack dinner (or money for stopping at MacDonalds). The bus is estimated to return to Shelby at 8:00pm, 4 Corners at 8:20pm, and Sunburst at 8:30pm.
Preschool 2022
Today was our first day of preschool. We were excited to welcome five preschool students today. Preschool meets weekly on Wednesdays from 9-11am and joins our kindergarten class.

School Bus Reminders!
Whenever a school bus is stopped, no matter the location, and utilizes the STOP sign on the side of a bus, drivers from BOTH sides of the road are required to stop for the safety of all school children.

2022 Sunburst Local Spelling Bee
Sunburst Schools held their annual spelling bee today with 38 participants from 5th-8th grade. The top 15 spellers and 2 alternates qualified for the Toole County Spelling Bee on February 7, 2022 at 6pm in the NTC Audtiorium.
Congratulations to all spellers for their great efforts. Special congratulations to Christopher Biesemeyer who is now a two time winner of our local Sunburst Spelling Bee.
