Our Second Grade teacher and National Guard member, Mrs. Pace, shares her knowledge, experience, and gear with our 1st and 2nd graders this week as they learn about and celebrate our Veterans.

The second graders, led by Mrs. Pace, learned about different landforms that we can see. Each group drew two different landforms and they had to recreate them using clay.

This week we are celebrating "Our "punbelievable" paraprofessionals that work at Sunburst Elementary School. We are very fortunate to have Mrs. Dunk, Mrs. Robins, Mrs. Smith, Miss S., and Mr. Fleisher!


5th/6th First Quarter Incentive Day!
Our 5th/6th graders are a 1st quarter incentive trip if they have good academic standing, good attendance, and exhibit good behavioral choices. All of our students earned this opportunity!
Today our 5th/6th graders were supposed to go bowling. Unfortunately, the bowling alley canceled on us this morning (we will reschedule). Instead, we went to the Early Bird for ice cream and played games.





Elementary 1st Quarter Awards Assembly
Today, we celebrated our students' achievements during the 1st quarter of school. Students received awards for honor roll, Rocket Math, TTM, Poppy Posters, Toole County Alliance for Youth Coloring Contest winners, and perfect attendance.






Veterans Day Assembly
Sunburst Schools held a Veteran's Day Assembly this morning to honor all of the courageous men and women who have served our country.
Various students and groups sang songs and shared poems in honor of our Veterans. Guest speaker and Veteran Dustin Bailey gave some great insights as our guest speaker.
Sunburst Schools wishes to thank all of the Veterans and Auxiliary members for their service.

Veterans Day at Sunburst Schools
All Veterans and Auxiliary members are invited to a pancake breakfast at the high school FCS room beginning at 7:30am on Thurwsday, November 11th, 2021.
The public is then invited to a school assembly in the NTCHS auditorium beginning at 8:30am. The guest speaker will be Dusty Bailey.


New National Honor Society members were sworn in during the induction ceremony to begin the November board meeting. NHS is led by Mrs..Taylor. Current members Josh Kearns, Cade Hanson, and Wyatt Manthey were joined by new members Ian Benjamin, Claire Bucklin, Megan Hout, Nicole Nau, Tara Robins, and Anna Wedel. Congratulations to our new NHS members.





Thursday Lunch Change!
On Thursday we will not be having Italian Dunkers. We were unable to get breadsticks from our supplier. Instead we will be having hot dogs. Thank you for understanding.

During 4th grade science, students used sugar cubes as a model for rocks to answer the question, "Will a mountain last forever?" They performed an experiment with this model to understand the process of weathering and how this process explains why rocks at the tops of mountains are jagged, while those at the bottom are rounded.

Fan information for JHBB @ Heart Butte on Nov. 12
For Friday's game at Heart Butte, fans are allowed to attend, but masks are required. Heart Butte will have concessions open for the game.

Important JHBB Update!
The Saturday JH ball game versus Power has been postponed to Tuesday, November 16th @ 5pm (girls A) & 6pm (boys A). There will be no B squad games.
This change in schedule is due to Power hosting a postseason semifinal football game on Saturday, the 13th, @ 1pm.
