Teacher Appreciation Week May 1-5, 2023, is teacher appreciation week. We have very talented, dedicated, and caring professionals that strive to provide incredible learning opportunities for students daily. Please consider writing a note, calling, emailing, or doing something to let your child's teacher know that their efforts are appreciated.

Early Release Please remember that Wednesday, May 3, 2023, will be an early release day for students at Sunburst Schools. Students will be dismissed at 12pm noon with buses running at that time.

Refiner Track and Field Great week for the Refiner Track & Field team! We officially have three athletes qualified for state! Connor Sullivan: 100m dash Claire Bucklin: 100m Hurdles & 300m Hurdles Nikki Nau: 3200m run Nikki also set a new school record!! Today the 2nd graders built 2D shapes using licorice. They were asked to build a shape using specific geometric information such as a shape that has 4 sides and 4 angles. They then had to identify and name the shape they created!

Spring Fling Fun Run The 2nd Annual Spring Fling Fun Run will be held on Wednesday, May 3. There will be a one mile run/walk at 2:30pm and a 5k at 3pm. All events will begin at the NTC Football Field Area. The cost to participate is $5 per individual or 5 for $20. All proceeds will be going to help assist students/families that need assistance purchasing athletic tickets/passes, etc. This event is being put on by Claire Bucklin and Gabby Cosme as part of their National Honor Society Project. Independence Bank Visits 3rd Grade Sunburst Elementary 3rd graders had a great opportunity to learn more about savings and good money habits thanks to the assistance of Independence Bank. The ladies shared ideas with students about saving and budgeting money. Thank you Independence Bank for sharing your knowledge and skills with our students as well as your continued support of Sunburst Schools!

Happy Secretary's Day Miss Lori & Miss Val Today Sunburst Schools honors our incredible secretaries at the elementary and JH/HS, Miss Lori and Miss Val. These two ladies work tirelessly and do so much to help our school. We truly have two of the best around! Please wish Miss Lori and Miss Val a Happy Secretary's Day!

Concert Tonight! Please join us for the NTC Junior High and High school Spring Concert this evening! This performance will take place in the Sunburst High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Students have been working hard to prepare a beautiful selection of music to close out our school year! This concert will be streamed live on our Sunburst Schools Facebook page.

Breakfast Change On Monday, April 24th, we will not be having Apple Strudel, since we have not received them, and they are not due to deliver until the 25th. Instead we will be having Scones.

Missoula Children's Theatre presents Aladdin MCT is visiting Sunburst this week with 42 students from kindergarten through 7th grade taking part in the show. All are invited to either the 1pm matinee and/or the 6pm evening show taking place on Friday, April 21. The cost of admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students. Seniors and age 0-5 are free.
