School Board of Trustees Call for Election Sunburst Schools has two school board positions that are up for election. Please see the information below.

No School Tuesday, February 21, 2023 Due to the inclement weather and poor road conditions, Sunburst Schools will not have school on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Please stay safe!

The Lady Refiners lost to Dutton/Brady/Power by a 47-26 final score to finish their season. The NTC pep band should be commended for their support of Refiner teams throughout the weekend.

Refiner Team Managers Refiner coaches wanted to extend a special thanks to their managers this year throughout the basketball season. The boys managers were Ethan Samsal and Nick Bucklin. The girls managers were Kacey Wipf and Hali Rogers.

Refiner Basketball Update The Lady Refiners picked up a 49-36 victory over Valier and advance to play tomorrow morning at 11am. The Refiner boys finished their season as they lost to Power 34-30.

No School February 20, 2023 Sunburst Schools will not have school on Monday, February 20, 2023, in observance of the Presidents Day Holiday.

The Lady Refiner basketball team suffered a tough loss to Simms by a score of 60-15. They will play Valier tomorrow at 8am.

No School Feb. 17 & 20 There will be no school on Friday, February 17th (district basketball tournaments) and Monday, February 20th (Presidents Day).

Refiner Boys Win! The NTC Refiner boys picked up a big win over Dutton/Brady in their first round District 10C game via a 44-37 final. The boys advance to play Heart Butte tomorrow evening at 7:30pm.

The 1st & 2nd Grade classes wanted to thank everyone that contributed milk jugs that were used to create their igloo!

District 10C Basketball Tournament Brackets Refiner boys open tournament action on Wednesday facing Dutton/Brady at 4pm. The Lady Refiners open tourney play on Thursday morning vs. Simms at 9:30am.

Youth Basketball Information for Friday, February 10th Friday, February 10th: THIS IS OUR LAST GAME FOR THE YEAR! K-2 game will be at approximately 5:20. Please be at the gym by 5:00 3-4 game will be at halftime of the Boys Varsity game. The game starts at 6:00. Please plan to be at the gym no later than the start of this game unless you are a Little Refiner (see below). Little Refiners (get to join the starting lineups) for the game are will be the rest of the participants that have not been a Little Refiner yet (please be at the gym by 5:30 if you are a Little Refiner): Harvey Roark Henry Roark Levi Taylor Thank you to all the youth basketball players AND their parents/guardians that got them to practices and games. This wouldn’t be possible without you all, and I am so happy I got to work with all the players this year. I hope that we can make it possible again next year. Keep working on your skills! Lunch Lady Appreciation Week If you see one of these lovely lunch ladies, please wish them a happy lunch ladies week! We are so fortunate to have Miss Lorrie, Miss Brandi, and Miss Leisha making our breakfasts and lunches daily. We thank them bunches for our lunches!

4th-6th Basketball Families with 4th, 5th and 6th graders - Please remember to call or email Mrs. Ehlers (shehlers@sunburst.k12.mt.us) or 406-937-2811) to sign up your athletes for this new basketball program. We are aware that there is a church conflict during this time period on Thursday nights. If your student has a church conflict on Thursday we still encourage them to join the basketball program. Last - please note this schedule change from the original information sent home: Thursday, March 9th practice and game will be rescheduled to Friday, March 10th.
