Students and staff celebrated our cross country team in a big way today! Senior Trevon McKinley and freshman Wyatt Rogers (purportedly of 99.9 The Burst) hosted the events, interviewing coaches Jeff Nix and Shayle Ehlers and members of the boys' and girls' teams. Following the celebration, all students and staff enjoyed cupcakes baked by Kris Ryan and Val McAlpine and decorated by freshmen Victoria Carlisle and Makila Calfrobe. Thank you to all the students and staff who made this a special event, and congratulations to our cross country coaches and athletes!

The Refiner XC teams made us proud today! The boys ran hard and finished in the top 13 as a team. Ian had the highest finish in 37th place. Congrats boys! The girls team, after two years of dedicated training, earned themselves a big beautiful state trophy! The girls finished in third place as a team, only three points behind the both the second and first place teams. Nikki finished 4th and Claire finished in 9th earning their own personal medals and the title of All-State. Way to go girls! We are super proud of these gritty tough racers! Go Big Red!

Bats aren't the only ones! 1st Grade explored deeper into the bat cave and discovered troglobites, creatures that never leave their cave habitat. Whether it was spelunking for vocabulary or troglobites, flipping bats for math or writing about their favorite troglobite creature, 1st grade thoroughly enjoyed their Bat Cave experience!
