On Wednesday, the 3rd grade class braved the elements and went on their class field trip to Giant Springs. They got a lesson from the wonderful staff on the wildlife in the area. The class even got to paint an animal paw print mold to take home! They visited the fish hatchery and went hiking around the park. After burning off some energy for the ride home at Gibson Park, where geese and ducks roamed around, they ventured back home!

The 6th grade class presented their research papers to their classmates today, describing the origin, history, and uses of a spice that they chose. At the conclusion of the presentation, we enjoyed a couple of dishes that students made highlighting their spice. The papers were great, and the basil tortellini and vanilla custard were delicious!
