The third grade class became structural engineers, with the goal being to make an igloo! Teamwork, communication, and creative thinking were put to the test. Fun was had, and ideas are certainly brewing for their next creation. Our indoor igloo eventually 'melted away' after the photo-op!

2nd Grade Santa Letters
The 2nd grade class all wrote and recorded their letters to Santa that will be played on KSEN. Special thanks to Northern Telephone Cooperative for sponsoring Sunburst Schools and to KSEN Radio for their continued tradition of broadcasting the Letters to Santa.

The K-6 students have begun practicing for the Christmas Stroll!
Our town's biggest annual event will be taking place on Thursday, December 5th from 5-8pm at the Sunburst Community Center. Student carolers will sing at 6:30!
We hope to see you there!







Mrs. Ehlers' FCS class and 4th grade took their Gingerbread Houses and Cookies to the Museum Annex for the annual competition!
After they paired up with their buddy and explored the Museum with a fun scavenger hunt! They learned so much about our local history and had a blast!!
All community members are invited to come to the Marias Museum Open House tomorrow, December 3rd to enjoy soup, cookies, music and see all of the gingerbread entries. The open house is from 4p.m. - 7p.m. at the Museum Annex in Shelby.










Christmas Programs
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming school Christmas Programs this year! The JH and HS Christmas Concert will be on Thursday, December 12, at 7pm in the NTCHS Auditorium. The K-6 Elementary Program will be on Tuesday, December 17, at 2pm in the Sunburst Elementary Gym.
Both programs will be streamed live over the Sunburst Schools Facebook page.

Another awesome trip to Starbase for our 5th & 6th grade classes!







FCCLA collected food for the food bank this fall at Trunk or Treat and with the Cat / Griz Game. This week, just in time for Thanksgiving, the food was delivered. Nice work FCCLA!


HS Fall Sports Awards
Thanks to everyone that came to recognize our fall sports athletes achievements. Athletes from cross country, volleyball, and football were commended for their great efforts.




HS Basketball Picture Day!
High school basketball picture day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Picture packets were sent home with athletes last week. Athletes must bring their uniform and all necessary gear for picture day.
Lindsay Sandon Photo+Design will be taking all of the basketball photos.


Well done Bobcats! Bobcats won the football game and Bobcat fans won the Food Drive! Thank you to everyone who donated to our local food bank! Have a happy Thanksgiving!

The Sunburst B1gBrains (Robotics team) had their first meet today in Butte. We learned a lot and have some exciting ideas and upgrades for Helena! These students did a great job!






2nd graders were challenged to build a te
epee using only the materials given. They did an awesome job!





Happy Thanksgiving
Sunburst Schools will not be having school Wednesday, November 27-Sunday, December 1st. We hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing break

4th Grade had a blast today at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center! This group of kids LOVES to learn and always ask the best questions!! We enjoyed a little ice skating before heading home! A great time was had by all!
