State XC Results
Congrats to Coco Bucklin on her 3rd place finish. She ran a 20:40.
The Refiner girls team finished in 5th place. Ella Samsal ran a PR at 24:21 to finish 38th. Ali Nau finished in 39th with a 24:22. Kaley Sandon finished 81st with a 27:37
The Refiner boys were led by Nick Bucklin who finished in 22nd with a time of 19:20. Colter Sandon finished in 81st with a time of 21:30. Gabe Bouttier ran 21:54 to finish 94th. Elonzo Benjamin ran 23:41 to finish 122nd.
Great job Coach Nix and Refiner athletes.

The class of 2026 would like to extend warm thanks to the community members who helped us with mock interviews this week. This experience serves as a capstone for our career-readiness unit, and gives us a chance to practice our interview skills and put our resumes and cover letters to the test. Thank you to all who volunteered to conduct interviews!
The 5th grade class studied moon phases with Oreo cookies. Everyone agreed that it's pretty much the best way to learn them!

Today, October 23, the Lady Refiners host Power/Dutton/Brady at the NTC Gym with two matches: 5pm JV + 20 varsity. Senior volleyball and cross country runners Ali Nau and Ella Samsal will also be recognized. This will be the final home volleyball game this year so please come out and cheer on the Lady Refiners!

Tenzee, Farkle, and Yahtzee — oh my! Our third graders discovered that practicing math skills can be just as fun as recess (well… almost). They learned how multiplication, addition, and number sense (and maybe a little bit of luck) worked into some good ol' dice games!
