Mrs. Ryan

Mrs. Ryan has worked at Sunburst Schools since 1993.

1.  What is your current role(s) at Sunburst Schools?  

I am currently the high school math teacher

2.  What previous teaching, coaching, or other extracurricular activities have you been involved with, if any, at previous schools and how many years of experience do you have?  

During my college years I coached girls' basketball at the Jr. High and high school levels at KG School and at Havre Public Schools.  I have been in the Sunburst School system for 30 years as a coach, substitute teacher, and a full time teacher and coach.

I have been a K-9 PE teacher, taught 7 - 12 math, and coached JH boys' and girls' basketball and High school girls' basketball.  I also served as a JH athletic director.

3.  Give us a brief history to include where you are from, where you were born, where you graduated from high school, and where graduated from college?    

I am from Gildford, Montana.  I was born in Havre.  From the time I was born until my 7th grade year mostly my family and I lived out on a farm 20 miles north of Gildford.  We eventually moved to town as my siblings and I became busier with extra-curricular activities.  I graduated from Northern Montana College in Havre, MT...now known as MSU-Northern.

4.  Tell us about your family, spouse, or significant other.

I have been married for 31 years this June to Dave Ryan.  We have two kids.  Our son, Andy,  was recently married to Courtney and they live in Sunburst.  Our daughter Katara lives and works in Billings, MT.

5.  Do you have any pets?  

No 

6.  What are some of your hobbies and interests?

 I love to play the piano.  I love to share music, listen to music, and encourage others with their musical talents.   I love to go to the retirement facility where my parents are and visit with the residents and share music.
