Miss Leisha has worked at Sunburst Schools since August of 1999.
1. What is your current role(s) at Sunburst Schools?
I am an assistant cook and serve breakfast at the high school.
2. What previous teaching, coaching, or other extracurricular activities have you been involved with, if any, at previous schools and how many years of experience do you have?
I have been involved with the lunch program at Sunburst for more than 30 years. I was an assistant volleyball coach at the school for 4 years. I have played in the school pep band for around 15 years.
3. Give us a brief history to include where you are from, where you were born, where you graduated from high school, and where graduated from college?
I grew-up on a farm 7 miles west of Sunburst. I was born in Cut Bank and graduated from Sunburst in 1982. I attended the Vo-Tech in Great Falls for 1 year.
4. Tell us about your family, spouse, or significant other.
I have been married for 31 years to Tony and we have two children- Todd and Nicole. We have 3 grandsons- Ruger, Nash, and Lee.
5. Do you have any pets? A cat named Gremlin.
6. What are some of your hobbies and interests?
I truly enjoy any time I can spend time with my grandsons. I enjoy traveling around the United States and have visited other countries. I make cards for all occasions. I enjoy puzzles and baking. I like to read and my favorite writer is Merri Maywether.
7. Are there any other interesting tidbits you want to share about yourself?
I'm always happy putting together my Legos and share them with the students at breakfast time.
