I'm currently a para in the high school Resource Room and I also help serve breakfast in the high school.

2.  What previous teaching, coaching, or other extracurricular activities have you been involved with, if any, at previous schools and how many years of experience do you have?

I was a para in the elementary and middle schools for the Triton School District in Dodge Center, Minnesota. I also helped with Title Reading and as a library aid. I worked there for 3 1/2 years. I started in Sunburst as a sub and was hired as a para at the Hillside Colony and have also worked at Rimrock Colony. After about 10 years, I was reassigned to the Resource Room and have been there ever since. I've been with the school district for 19 years.

3.  Give us a brief history to include where you are from, where you were born, where you graduated from high school, and where graduated from college?

I was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma but grew up in Houston, Texas. I graduated from Pine Grove Christian. I have not been to college but I've attended many workshops since becoming a para. I've also obtained certificates as a veterinary assistant and a dog groomer.

4.  Tell us about your family, spouse, or significant other.

I've been married to my husband Chris for 36 years. We have 4 children that all live in Montana. We have several grandchildren who live in Montana, Oklahoma and Minnesota.

5.  Do you have any pets?

At this time we have 4 dogs, a sheltie mix and 3 pitbull mixes, although we have had as many as 6 dogs, 2 cats, 6 rats and 4 guinea pigs.

6.  What are some of your hobbies and interests?

I love to read, do crossword and jigsaw puzzles, draw and paint in watercolor and acrylics and I love sports, especially baseball. GO ASTROS!!
7.  Are there any other interesting tidbits you want to share about yourself?

I feel fortunate to have found my niche in a small school district in a small northern Montana town and to be able to achieve my dream of owning and operating my own dog grooming business that's been in operation for almost 16 years.
