The Policies of the School Board are our governing documents. They are updated on a regular basis and are based upon current law, directives from various state and federal agencies, and locally initiated policies. Many policies come to us as recommendations from the Montana School Boards Association but often times, the local administration and trustees will edit and adapt such policies to fit our school district. Before policies are put into place, they must have at least two 'readings' before the school board at a regularly scheduled meeting. Policy updates or edits may be made without a second hearing.
